Television
The West Wing
I avoided this show in its heyday primetime years. Then one week I was beat-down ill and more or less cemented to my sofa. Bravo was running a West Wing daytime marathon so gave it a try. After two episodes I was craving it like an addict. Aaron Sorkin’s writing is the best that television has ever had, and it is brought to life by a seriously talented cast of actors. It’s intriguing and funny and if nothing else, at the end of each show I feel smarter and stuff.
Band of Brothers
I first watched Band of Brothers when it was on once a week. At the end of each episode I was left begging for more. I felt an insane need to know what happened to these guys. Since then I've twice caught a Band of Brothers marathon and watched it from begining to end both times. The final episode you learn the identities of the old men who introduce each episode. If that doesn't give you a lump in your throat then you simply aren't human.
